Recent rumors claimed that “The Five” host Dana Perino would be leaving the news show because of the tensions with fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity.
The false news began circulating after some ads started running on Facebook in May 2024. These ads displayed that Dana was officially leaving The Five.
Highlights

- The news personality has become a victim of fake news on the internet.
- She has nothing to do with CBD Gummies.

Dana Perino Is Not Leaving ‘The Five’
The fake claims in ads created a significant buzz online. The false news continued to spread through social media posts and articles.
Among them, an article by Freshdailydrive was on another level. According to Snopes, the link first went through falcondownholesolutions before redirecting to freshdailydrive.
The headline of the report read, “Dana Perino Leaves ‘The Five’ and Sparks Major Lawsuit Against Fox: Her Response on Air.”
According to the publication, the television personality launched a product called “Fortin CBD Gummies” which can reverse dementia.
🚨 A @YouTube spokesperson said videos falsely claiming “Dana Perino CBD gummies” treat dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, and also asking viewers to click an external link to buy scam products with monthly subscription fees, “do not violate our policies.” https://t.co/N48EDCYNTK

The details about these miracle gummies are a little ridiculous. They wrote that the gummies are 90% cheaper and 5 times more effective than alternative remedies from Bayer and other “Big Pharma” companies.
On top of that the layout of the article on Freshdailydrive is almost the same as on the official Fox News website.
This was done with the clear intention of fooling people into believing the news was from official Fox News.
The first paragraph of the report reads;
“Last week, during a heated episode, the popular conservative host, Dana Perino, made headlines by unveiling her new CBD line live on ‘The Five’.
‘”Sean Hannity was outraged and expressed his intention to sue Dana Perino and Fox for violating his contract and allegedly driving away sponsors.”
They wrote this reportedly conflicted with Sean Hannity’s show sponsors, causing “tensions” with the Fox News host.
They even came up with an entirely fictitious statement of the Fox News officials and quoted them.
Perino allegedly responded,
“I understand that Sean is simply targeting my time slot. I refuse to succumb to ‘Cancel Culture.’ When I embarked on this journey back in 2022, it was initially a part-time passion project and my way of giving back.”
“Having received so much, I believed there was no better time to make Fortin CBD Gummies accessible to everyone, as it has the potential to help thousands of individuals live pain-free and happier lives.”
Furthermore, the fake news went on to claim that Sean Hannity called Dana Perino’s actions an indictment, purportedly saying;
“While I am pleased that Dana Perino found an alternative to prescription medications, her announcement directly violated our contract. Fox News should terminate her immediately, and she owes us a formal apology.”
It should be noted that Perino is still hosting “The Five” and is not leaving the show anytime soon. Moreover, Dana has no association with the product named “Fortin CBD Gummies.”
