NLE was born to African American father and a Jamaican Mother on November 1, 2001, in Memphis, Tennessee. His mother’s name is Angeleta Potts, but his father’s name is unknown now.
Apart from his younger brother, Potts does not have any other siblings. NLE is a caring person when it comes to his family.

The hitmaker spent his childhood in Memphis, Tennessee. He passed his high school Cordova High School. In high school, he used to be a basketball player.

NLE has been in several relationships. He had a daughter named Clover on June 20, 2020, with his ex-girlfriend Mariah.
After that, he was in a brief relationship with an Instagram personality named Yung Blasian.
On March 6, 2022, Choppa revealed that he and his ex-girlfriend Marissa Da’Nae were expecting a son. However, the couple lost their newborn kid, “Seven,” due to a miscarriage.
