Mike and his wife, Karen, first met while he was studying law at Indiana University. They tied the knot in 1989, three years before Pence’s father passed away.

The couple has three children named Michale, Charlotte, and Audrey. Michael Pence is a pilot and holds the rank of First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.

The Pence family lived in Arlington, Virginia, while Congress was in session and in Columbus, Indiana, during breaks.

In a 2002 interview, Mike mentioned that he wouldn’t have dinner alone with a woman other than his wife.

Pence’s mother got remarried in 2004 to Basil Coolidge Fritsch. In 2018, his older brother Greg won a political race to represent Indiana’s 6th congressional district in Congress, the same seat once held by Mike.
