Sarah uses her skills and position to speak up for people who can’t speak up for themselves. This is especially true for people with mental health issues and terrible childhood experiences.
She understands the difficulty of finding quality mental health services in Oklahoma and is working towards providing better access to these essential services.
As the chair of the board of Friends of the Mansion, Sarah also oversees the restoration of the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion.
Her goal is to restore the home’s original structure and restore its historical value.

However, in October 2022, the Stitt family faced a difficult situation. It was found that their son, who was 20 years old at the time, was found drunk in a parking lot in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
He also possessed firearms, including a gun that belonged to his Father. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office said that the governor’s son should be charged for having alcohol as a minor, according to an affidavit that The Oklahoman got from them.
However, no charges were ultimately filed in the case. While the incident was undoubtedly stressful and concerning for the Stitt family, they have remained committed to supporting their son through this difficult time.

Governor of Oklahoma, Kevin was born in Milton, Florida, on December 28, 1972. He spent the first five years there before his family moved to Skiatook, Oklahoma.
His Father, John Stitt, played an essential role in shaping his views on fatherhood, and Stitt publicly acknowledged his gratitude for his Father’s guidance.
Stitt’s early education began in Wayne, Oklahoma, before his family eventually settled in Norman, Oklahoma. There his Father became the pastor of Riverside Church. He completed his high school education at Norman High School.
