The most obvious change is his nose, which now appears more refined and dainty than it did when he was younger. Some others thought he had received some Botox and Intense Pulsed Light treatments. He also has more defined cheekbones, possibly as a result of dermal fillers. Sutherland has always been handsome, but it seems like he’s had a plastic surgeon help him seem better.

Due to a ruptured cyst near one of Sutherland’s kidneys, Fox TV announced on February 14, 2010, that Season 8 of 24 would temporarily stop filming. He waited a few days before having “elective surgery,” according to the story.

Sutherland headed to Hollywood after winning praise for his performance as Donald Campbell in The Bay Boy. Sutherland made his American movie debut with Stand by Me. He made an appearance at the 61st Academy Awards with his father to present the National Film Board of Canada with the Academy Honorary Award.

His identical twin sister Rachel Sutherland works as a post-production film supervisor. Tommy Douglas, a former premier of Saskatchewan who was Canadian by birth and generally recognized for establishing universal health care in Canada, was his maternal grandfather.

In 1987, Camellia Kath and the actor got married for the first time. Three years later, in 1990, they got divorced. In 1996, he married Kelly Winn.

Kiefer filed for divorce from his eight-year wife in 2004. Currently, Kiefer Sutherland and Mexican actress and director Cindy Vela are engaged. Vela and Sutherland live in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, and became engaged in 2017.

The actor is named after Warren Kiefer, an American-born writer, and director who directed Castle of the Living Dead, the first feature picture directed by Donald Sutherland, the actor’s father.

Sutherland and his mother moved to Toronto, Ontario, in 1975 after his parents separated in 1970. He also attended Crescent Town Elementary School and St. Clair Junior High in East York, which is now Gordon A. Brown Middle School, in addition to John G. Althouse Middle School in Toronto.

He attended different high schools. According to Sutherland on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he and Robert Downey Jr. shared a room for three years when Sutherland first moved to Hollywood to pursue his acting career. He and Downey also appeared together in the film 1969.
