Vladislav has two sisters, Marina and Alexandra. He started playing basketball for the CSKA Moscow junior team and represented Russia at the U-18 European Championship and U-19 World Cup.

He moved to the United States in 2019 and attended Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut. He was rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and initially committed to Texas Tech.
