On Sunday, March 5, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a visitation at 12th Avenue Baptist Church, 2023 West 12th Avenue. The time of her service is Monday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. at White Auditorium.

Initially, the cause of Hess’s death was not made public. However, according to a few sources, she apparently died of natural causes. But an official announcement has not been made regarding that matter.

At Emporia High School on Saturday night, a huge crowd came to pay tribute to Allison. She was a talented young student whose unfortunate demise cut her life short.

Jordan Young prayed and added, “Alli’s spirit is to live on forever.” Alli was coached by Young while she played basketball on the EMS squad. Young is a teacher at Emporia Middle School.

KVOE Radio also reported that Alli, a sophomore, was the student who passed suddenly on Thursday.

The following week, counseling services will also be available at Emporia Middle School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Also, according to District Ordinance 253, anyone who wants immediate access to mental health care can call CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness at 620-343-2211 during regular business hours or 620-343-2626 after hours.

The National Suicide Prevention Hotline, which can be accessed at 988, is another resource the district is promoting to the public. According to KVOE, arrangements are being made to reschedule senior recognition events that were initially slated to happen on Friday evening owing to the postponement of the basketball games that were scheduled for that day.
