Gervonta Davis Parents And Siblings
Gervonta Davis, aka The Tank, was born on 7 November 1994 to Garrin Davis and Kenya Brown.
According to The Baltimore Sun article, Davis’s parents raised him in the Sandtown-Winchester area of West Baltimore.
Tank’s locality was among one of the worst crime-ridden places in Baltimore, and he had a rough and tough childhood.
Davis’s parents caused him to get in trouble almost daily. In an interview with The Baltimore Sun in 2013, Davis’s biological mom, Kenya Brown, revealed that she was unable to provide a better life for her kids.
His mother struggled with drug abuse. Also, his biological Father, Garrin Davis, was in prison.
Sadly, Gervonta had to live in several foster homes throughout his childhood.
Despite all the struggles, Gervonta picked up the boxing gloves and started a career in combat sports. Professional Coach Calvin Ford trained him, and he turned into a great amateur under his supervision.
In 2012, Davis won the Golden Gloves and turned pro at 18.
However, Davis has revealed less about his siblings. He had a childhood friend, Anthony Wheeler. However, the two’s friendship deteriorated as Wheeler complained at the court that Gervonta punched him.
According to his companion’s complaint, Gervonta hit him with a gloved fist on the side of his head. In addition, Wheeler was diagnosed with a concussion and admitted to the hospital.
The incident occurred at the Upton Boxing Center in West Baltimore. In November 2017, Davis was set to face trial, but his friend later dropped the charges.
According to The Baltimore Sun report, Gervonta and Anthony walked out of the courtroom together.
