Jamie Bhatti is a descendant of an Indian immigrant. His grandfather was an immigrant from India who moved to Scotland to become a math lecturer. The information about his father and mother has been kept personal till now.

According to Bhatti, his department was to slaughter sheep and then go to the cattle side. For two years, he slaughters cattle with two other co-workers.

He worked in the abattoir from Monday to Friday and as a doorman at Dusk nightclub in Stirling on Friday and Saturday nights. He also tried to join the police but could not be passed the section session.

The player’s debut was in November 2016, and he was in the wider Scotland training squad the following year and later won the first cap in November 2017.

He said he got a chance because other players were injured, but he is thankful, too, as that was the best three days of his life. At a young age, Bhatti learnt about the brutal reality of front-row play at the highest level; however, he had time and ability.

He has recently been confirmed in a line-up of a Six Nations fixture for France versus Scotland. Bhatti will be in replacement after Fraser Brown and before WP Nel.
