The singer’s 2009 tweet began circulating on the internet, where she is seen making racist remarks to the black community using the N-word. The tweet resurfaced on the social media platform in 2018, right after the vocalist criticizing Rita Ora, Cardi B, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX for their song “Girls,” which claims to celebrate sexual flexibility and women.

The pop singer found the song offensive regarding being part of the LGBTQ+ community and took matters into her own hands, tweeting what she found uncomfortable about the song.

However, the “Girls” singer’s fans were not happy with her tweet regarding the song, so they dug up Hayley’s Twitter account and reposted screenshots of her being racist to the black community.

Moreover The singer didn’t clarify the situation at that time. Her fans still support her in her career, saying she was too young back then, whereas some were deeply offended by the star’s behavior.

The ethnicity of the popular artist is mixed. California’s Los Angeles is the place of Hayley’s birth. Her mother is from Canada, while her father is from Ohio.

However, the pop singer’s mother has Japanese ancestry, while her father has roots in Wales, England, Scotland, Germany, and Wales. She is an Asian Pacific American. According to People, the actress opened up about embracing her Asian culture and being proud to represent the AAPI community as an artist.

“I was never white enough, I was never Asian enough; but I was also never straight enough,” the American actress says in an interview with People. As a young child, it was hard for the artist to fit in her own culture due to being mixed, but later in the process of getting older, the Stunner’s member started learning about and tapping into her Japanese heritage.

The American pop star’s parents, Jamie Alcroft and Sarah Kawahara, welcomed her into the world on April 3, 1991, in Los Angeles, California. During their time, both parents had successful careers.

Canadian figure skater and choreographer Sarah, the artist’s mother, is a two-time Emmy Award winner. Unlike Jamie, The Star’s father was a member of the comedic duo Mack & Jamie and an American voice actor known for his work in video games, movies, and television shows.

However, the performer has two siblings: a sister named Alysse Alcroft and a brother named Thatcher. Both the siblings are not very active on social media platforms.
