In a family of five children, Sarah is the youngest. The Reform rabbi Susan Silverman, the author Jodyne Speyer, and the actress Laura Silverman are her sisters. Jeffrey Michael, their brother, passed away when he was just three months old.
The book Jewish Family and Life: Traditions, Holidays, and Values for Today’s Parents and Children were co-written by the oldest sister, Susan, and her husband, Yosef Abramowitz.
The couple has adopted two children from Ethiopia and has three of their own. The Reform rabbi is also the founder of Second Nurture.
Similarly, the second oldest sister of the American actress Laura also acted in Sarah’s debut TV show as the actress’s real-life sister. She has also made cameos in the dramas House and Nurse Jackie. Currently, she is married to Johnny Bombay.
The third oldest sister of the artist, Jodyne, is an author and a former avoidant who resides and works in Los Angeles.
