The fan-favorite anchor announced her departure from WBTV by sharing a heartfelt photo montage of many colleagues she has had the pleasure of working with, both past and present.

“I am leaving WBTV. My last day on the air will be 25 October.”

The reporter said she found the decision to leave nearly impossible.

The journalist said she wondered how she could say goodbye to a place that had given her so many opportunities over 17 years.

She questioned how she could stop spending her mornings and afternoons sharing the community’s stories.

Miranda also noted how hard it would be to leave the QC Life team and the amazing colleagues who work so hard to serve viewers each day.

However, she feels that there is something out there for her professionally.

“I can only say that after more than 30 years in this business, I’ve been feeling like there’s something else out there for me professionally.”

“Then an opportunity came my way that I never could have expected and could not turn down.

While the co-host of QC Morning and QC@3 didn’t share the details about the opportunity, she promised to reveal them soon.

“I promise I will share what that is soon,” Miranda wrote.

“Please know how thankful I have been to be a part of your family for so long. Seeing you all out in the community, getting your emails and social posts, and getting to know you has been a blessing.”

She ended her note saying they still had a week and a half together, so they should enjoy it.

After that, she assured everyone they’d still see her around since she loves Charlotte and is staying.

Following her announcement, some of the anchor’s fans said they had no reason to watch WBTV anymore without her.

On the other hand, some of them expressed their excitement and wished the best in her next chapter.

“We ❤️ you. We know your next step is one into an adventure. And, where you go, we go, too. You’ll never shake us. But, we are a little heartbroken, too.”
